The top three were followed by Spain with 1.2 billion euros ($1.23 billion), Portugal with 1.15 billion euros ($1.18 billion) and Germany with 1.02 billion euros ($1.05 billion).

The CIES Football Observatory put the total value of all teams at the 2022 World Cup at 15 billion euros ($15.4 billion), based on a statistical technique involving more than 2,000 player transactions conducted by clubs in Europe’s big five Leagues were transferred from July 2012 to November 2021.
