  • DISTRIBUTION: Switzerland -0.5 (-140)
  • ABOUT UNDER: 2.5 goals (+125 over or -150 under)
  • MONEY LINE: Switzerland (-135), Cameroon (+425) Draw (+265)

Best bid:

Switzerland go into the World Cup on a winning streak, with two of them against top 10 nations in the FIFA rankings, while Cameroon have four internationals without a win, including 1-1 draws with Jamaica and Panama. Given this recent form I think Switzerland -0.5 (-140) is a solid bet, but I like those too over 2.5 goals (+125).

Uruguay vs South Korea

  • Date: Thursday, November 24th

game details

Uruguay South Korea

  • DISTRIBUTION: Uruguay -0.5 (-145) South Korea +0.5 (+115)
  • ABOUT UNDER: 2.5 goals (+135 over or -165 under)
  • MONEY LINE: Uruguay (-140), South Korea (+450) Draw (+260)

Best bid:

These are two experienced countries who are unlikely to be affected by the big stage. Uruguay is still led by Luis Suarez, who is better remembered for his on-field antics than for the 68 international goals he has scored for his country. However, South Korea also has talented players on its roster, led by Son Heung-min, so I expected this to be a fairly balanced watch both teams to score (+110)

Portugal vs Ghana

  • Date: Thursday, November 24th
  • Time: 11 a.m. ET
  • Channel: FOX

game details

Portugal Ghana
9. FIFA ranking 61
Beat North Macedonia in the playoffs qualification Beat Nigeria in CAF
7 Previous World Cup participations 3
3rd place (1966) Best processing Quarterfinals (2010)
-650 Chances of reaching the knockout stages +250

  • DISTRIBUTION: Portugal -1.5 (+120), Ghana -1.5 (-145)
  • ABOUT UNDER: 2.5 goals (-105 over or -115 under)
  • MONEY LINE: Portugal (-900), Ghana (+800) Draw (+380)

Best bid:

Portugal go into this game as clear favorites but will be without injured striker Diogo Jota and winger Pedro Neto, resulting in two key defeats for the team. However, Ghana also lost their goalkeeper, Joe Wollacott, to injury in a friendly match just before the World Cup. Still, Portugal haven’t shown great offensive form lately, so I think this is the safest place to win under 2.5 goals (-115).

Brazil vs Serbia

  • Date: Thursday, November 24th
  • Time: 2 p.m. ET
  • Channel: FOX

game details

Brazil Serbia
1 FIFA ranking 21
1. in CONMEBOL qualification Group A winners in UEFA
21 Previous World Cup participations 12
Champions (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002) Best processing Semifinals (1930, 1962)
-1000 Chances of reaching the knockout stages +130

Betting Info

  • DISTRIBUTION: Brazil -1.5 (+140), Serbia +1.5 (-175)
  • ABOUT UNDER: 2.5 goals (-135 over or +110 under)
  • MONEY LINE: Brazil (-200), Serbia (+550) Draw (+350)

Best bid:

Brazil are the clear favorites here but we saw in this game against Argentina that once the games start it doesn’t really matter to be a favorite of the oddsmakers. This game features two of the best forwards of the tournament in Brazilian Neymar and Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Mitrovic is struggling with a foot injury so obviously Serbia will hope he can fulfill his potential for the whole game but I still think this Brazilian team is a bit too strong so I’ll take it Brazil -1.5 (+140).
