*WARNING: Spoilers follow for Andor Episode 12*
Since arriving on our screens, Andor has quickly established itself as one of the best entries in the Star Wars franchise.
Each episode has slowly added to Cassian Andor’s snowballing hatred of the Empire and his quest to join the growing rebellion fighting Imperial oppression.
All of this escalated to an explosive crescendo in Episode 12 on Ferrix as the populace struggled against their oppressors.
However, an excruciating cliffhanger in the episode’s final moments has Andor fans wondering if an episode 13 will be released on November 30th.
Andor Episode 12 Summary
Episode 12 of Andor, titled Rix Road, was a thoroughly emotional affair as the people of Ferrix gathered for Maarva Andor’s funeral.
Knowing the funeral would be their best chance of finding Cassian Andor, Dedra Meero and the ISB allowed the event but had their own list of caveats, such as: B. changing the time and limiting the number of participants.
However, the people of Ferrix conducted the funeral as they wished, with a huge crowd gathering on Rix Road to pay their respects and listen to a holographic speech Maarva recorded before her death.
Maarva’s inspirational speech sparked anger among the watching Imperials, and a scuffle broke out that quickly erupted into a full-blown riot when Wilmon Paak, son of the slain Salman, dropped a homemade bomb on the Empire’s headquarters.
In the confusion, Cassian managed to sneak into the Imperial base undetected and rescue Bix, still suffering the effects of her torture at the hands of Dr. Gorst felt.
After helping Bix, Brasso, B2EMO, and several others escape the planet, Cassian went to meet Luthen Rael, who had traveled to Ferrix in hopes of killing Andor so he would not reveal details about the Aldhani raid, if he should be captured the kingdom.
However, the episode ended on an excruciating cliffhanger (“No, you can’t end it there,” I shouted to the TV) as Andor glared at Luthen, giving him the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger and kill him.
However, before the episode finally ended, Episode 12 offered one final surprise as there was a post-credits scene that revealed exactly what the prisoners had built on Narkina 5.

Season 2 is confirmed
While Andor’s first season may be over, fans can take comfort in knowing that the series has been confirmed for a second season.
In May 2022, Lucasfilm announced that Andor had been renewed for a second and final season, which like Season 1 would also consist of 12 episodes.
While the events of Season 1 only took place over a year, 5 BBY, Season 2 will tell her story over the next four years, leading directly to the events of Rogue One, the film where we first met Cassian Andor .
However, according to showrunner Tony Gilroy, fans will likely have to wait until 2024 for season 2 as filming for season 2 didn’t start until November 2022 and is expected to last until August 2023.
Andor is now available to stream in full on Disney+ after the final episode of Season 1 aired on November 23, 2022.
