SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC announced today that the club are hosting a crowd party in support of the US men’s national team at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ for the opening game of the group stage against Wales Monday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT at The Armory at Seattle Center. This free event gives fans of all ages the opportunity to cheer for Sounders FC The Stars and Stripes as they are taking part in a FIFA World Cup for the first time since 2014.
Watch parties will be held for all three United States group stage games, including USA vs. England (Friday, November 25 – 11:00 a.m. PT) and USA vs. Iran (Tuesday, November 29 – 11:00 a.m. PT ). ). Admission is free and is based on the “first come, first served” principle. Admission for each game begins at 9:00 am PT and continues until the Armory is full.
Sounders FC midfielder and a native of Federal Way Kelly Rowe will attend the event on Monday. The 11-year MLS veteran has over 300 professional appearances, in addition to six career appearances for the US men’s national team. Rowe is available for media interviews upon request.
Those who come to the parties can look forward to following the games in an electrifying group atmosphere on a large screen. Sounders FC also provides Musical entertainment before the game, interactive games and a variety of ways to win exciting pricesincluding an authentic framed USMNT jersey, limited edition Sounders FC adidas Ultraboost x COPA shoes and more.

For each Watch Party, all of Armory’s food and drink locations are open, with one extra beer garden Room offer for participants from 21 years of age. Additionally, the first 1,500 guests to attend each Watch Party can get a World Cup Rally Towel with Sounders themewhile the first 300 Sounders FC season ticket members present at each watch party will receive one Exclusive Sounders themed World Cup long sleeve t-shirt.
Fans can also participate in the recently announced one MLS Qatar Quest Bracket Challengewhich offers the opportunity to fill in a bracket to win big prizes.
Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris and midfielder Christian Rollan were both included in the final 26-man USA men’s national team roster announced earlier this month, marking the first FIFA World Cup nomination for either player. With Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin both called up in 2014, Sounders FC are the only club to have selected multiple players for the USMNT in each of their last two World Cup appearances. With Xavier Arreaga (Ecuador) and nouhu (Cameroon) also travel to Qatar, these are the most active Sounders FC players ever to be nominated for a single FIFA World Cup, with Seattle’s four finishing third among all MLS teams this year. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM starts on November 20th and runs until December 18th.
At the conclusion of games on November 25th and 29th, fans will be encouraged to explore Seattle Center Winter Festival, presented by Symetra.
