Fox News’ All-American Tree Lighting Opens The Five’s Holiday Season

FOX News Media kicked off the holiday season with its third annual All-American Tree Lighting Monday during “The Five” during a festive, packed ceremony on FOX Square in front of the network’s headquarters in New York City.

“The Five” co-hosts Greg Gutfeld, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Dana Perino, Jessica Tarlov and Jesse Watters moderated the celebrations before a live audience that included representatives from the New York City Fire Department and New York City Police Department, who performed the ceremonial lighting in honor of those who serve the city.

“It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas out there in Fox Square,” Perino said of opening the show.

FOX’s All-American Christmas Tree, once again featuring a patriotic theme with red, white and blue decorations, stands 50 feet tall and is adorned with 12,000 ornaments and 340,000 lights. “It’s back and it’s better than ever,” Gutfeld said.

Last year, the All-American Christmas Tree was destroyed when a tinsel torchman set it on fire. The tree was quickly replaced “as a sign of resilience and hope in the face of a horrific act,” and FOX News Media executives credit the FDNY and NYPD with responding quickly to the arson.

FOX News Media is also working with the Police Athletic League (PAL) to host a toy drive benefitting New York City’s youth and offer employees the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities to spread the holiday spirit.

FOX News Media employees have already purchased and wrapped 500 gifts to be presented to PAL Executive Director Carlos Velazquez and the children and families who benefited from the charitable donation during the lighting ceremony.

“We only survive with the support of the great people of New York City and across the state,” Velazquez said.

“The Five” was the most-watched cable news show in the third quarter of 2022, averaging 3.3 million viewers. It was the first time in history that a cable news show topped the category for four consecutive non-prime time quarters.
